Discovering Budapest

Writer: SandySandy

Budapest totally won me over with its perfect mix of history and vibrant energy One of my favorite experiences was relaxing in Budapest’s thermal spas. The Lukács Baths, with its historic mineral-rich waters, provided a peaceful retreat. But the real standout was the Thermal Beer Spa. Basically you are bathing in warm water infused with hops, malt, yeast, and beer salt, with an endless beer tap at your side. It’s a must-try! You can view all the thermal beer spas in Budapest and book your reservation at thermalbeerspa.com.

Split by the Danube River, Budapest felt like two different worlds. Buda enchanted me with its fairytale streets and breathtaking views from Fisherman’s Bastion and Buda Castle. On the other side, Pest buzzed with energy. I couldn’t get enough of the stunning Parliament building and the lively squares.

The food scene was a highlight too. Hearty goulash packed with paprika and flaky pastries made every meal absolutely delicious! A stroll along the river led to the Shoes on the Danube Bank memorial. It’s a poignant tribute to WWII’s Jewish victims that gave me a deeper appreciation of the city’s rich history.

The Jewish Quarter was another gem, filled with cool ruin bars, colorful street art, and the impressive Great Synagogue. Budapest effortlessly combines history, relaxation, and fantastic food, making it a place I won’t soon forget. Oh, and if need a place to stay, highly recommend Hilton Budapest. It was the perfect location and very unique and beautiful hotel. Check out our photos below!
