Looking for Buffalo-style wings in Southwest Florida? We’ve got you covered. Buffalo Chips Restaurant in Bonita Springs and Resurgence Brewing Co. in Fort Myers are two must-visit spots if you’re craving a true taste of Buffalo, New York—especially when it comes to wings.
I visited both during my most recent trip to Southwest Florida and left each one happy, full, and already wanting to go back. As two New Yorkers who grew up on Buffalo wings—and regularly head to Florida with family—we definitely don’t take our wing standards lightly, so finding spots that truly deliver a taste of Buffalo down here is a big deal.
Let’s break down the story behind each place and what my experience was like.

Buffalo Chips Restaurant in Bonita Springs, Florida
I had heard about this place for a while but didn’t actually visit until this year—and now I’m kicking myself for waiting so long. Buffalo Chips is located in Bonita Springs, Florida, about a 25-minute drive from Fort Myers (RSW) Airport, depending on traffic.

Bonita Springs has evolved from a quiet, rustic town into a fast-growing Southwest Florida destination filled with new development and rising costs, which has pushed out many local businesses and changed the area’s character. Despite that, Buffalo Chip’s has remained a constant—a gathering place where locals and visitors come together, preserving the community spirit and history that define the area. It’s especially popular with Buffalo Bills fans (though Packers fans are welcome here, too).

As you pull into the parking lot off Old 41 Road, you’ll pass the Old Ranch Motel and the space where they host their popular Monday Tiki Nights—but before you notice any of that, you’ll likely spot the large Bills flag flying high. That’s when you know you’re in the right place.

Walking inside feels like stepping into a Buffalo sports museum. The walls are lined with memorabilia, including Super Bowl seat cushions and countless nods to the Bills and Sabres (and some Packers love, too). It immediately feels like home—especially if you’re from New York. I even wore my Syracuse University women’s basketball shirt since they were playing that day, and our waitress lit up when she saw it—she was from Syracuse, too. There’s definitely a strong New York presence in Southwest Florida, which adds to the charm of this place.
Now, let’s get to the food. We started with buffalo chicken egg rolls served with hot sauce and bleu cheese (of course), along with jalapeño poppers paired with a sweet-hot pepper jam. We were hoping to wash it all down with a Labatt Blue—a Buffalo staple—but they were out of drafts that day, so I went with a Fort Myers High 5 IPA instead, which ended up being a great choice.
For the main event, we ordered hot wings with both bleu cheese and ranch. They were perfectly crispy with just the right amount of sauce—honestly some of the best wings I’ve had outside of Buffalo. Everything exceeded expectations, and it’s easy to see why this is considered one of the best wing spots in Bonita Springs.
Resurgence Brewing Co. in Fort Myers, Florida
Sandy and I actually visited Resurgence Brewing Co. in Buffalo, New York, last year and had the best time (you can check out our Instagram reel from that trip featuring Christine). While we were there, we heard it’s a frequent stop for Buffalo Bills players like Khalil Shakir—and occasionally Josh Allen. So when we found out they opened a location in Fort Myers, Florida, we knew we had to check it out.

The Fort Myers location has a much more open, airy feel—something you can really lean into with Florida weather. While it’s all on one level (unlike the Buffalo location), the space is still large, with plenty of seating indoors, outdoors, and at the bar. There are TVs everywhere, making it a great spot to catch a game. It’s also attached to Central Rock Gym, where you can go rock climbing.
I was especially excited to see so many Buffalo-inspired beers and menu items carried over to this Southwest Florida location, along with some Florida-inspired additions like the cold crab dip and tropical chicken salad.

I started with a beer flight: Peach Lemon Tea Sour, Bridge Pilsner, Super CitMo IPA (I already love the regular CitMo), and Old Neighborhood Irish Red Ale—I wanted a mix of everything. My husband, Ryan, went with the Premium Pilsner, Lil Mo (Session IPA), CitMo (New England IPA), and the Dubai Chocolate Stout.
Surprisingly, his favorite ended up being the stout, even though he typically leans toward IPAs—though he still loved those, too. My favorite was the Super CitMo, which I would absolutely order again.
If beer isn’t your thing, they also offer ciders and cocktails. I’ve had their Blackbird ciders before, and they’re a great option if you prefer something lighter and a little sweeter.
And yes—we went all in on the food. We started with the cold crab dip, bacon jam fries, and pulled pork sliders. Honestly, we could have stopped there, but we didn’t.
Next came the tropical chicken salad and wings (because you can’t go to a Buffalo spot and not get wings). There are tons of unique sauce options, but we went with Buffalo Bleu Cheese and Hot Honey BBQ—both were incredible. They even recommend pairing the wings with their Flats & Drums Pale Ale, which really complements the flavors and makes everything go down easy.
The atmosphere made the experience even better—March Madness games were on, followed by a Buffalo Sabres game, which brought that familiar Buffalo sports energy to Florida. It felt like the perfect mix of home and vacation.
If you’re planning a visit to Fort Myers, we stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn about four miles away (roughly a $12 Uber ride), and it was a great, convenient option. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and in a great location.
In Conclusion: Best Wings in Southwest Florida
If you’re visiting Southwest Florida and searching for the best wings in Bonita Springs or Fort Myers, these two spots should absolutely be at the top of your list.
Buffalo Chips Restaurant delivers that classic, nostalgic Buffalo feel with a strong local community vibe, while Resurgence Brewing Co. brings a more modern brewery experience with creative menu options and a lively atmosphere.
You really can’t go wrong with either—but if you have the time, visit both and experience the best of Buffalo-style food in Southwest Florida.
